Begin by sitting up nice and tall. Next, place the soles of your feet together. This can be a very deep hip stretch for some and it is best to do this pose after the body is already warmed up.
This is a fun pose for kids to pretend and imagine which is great for children. It helps with flexibility, stretching the hips and is also grounding and nice pose to do toward the end of class as you are winding down toward relaxation.
Pretend you're a butterfly that just landed on a beautiful, fragrant flower. Bend forward and smell the flower. What does your flower smell like? Take a deep breath in to smell the flower. Ahhh let your breath out.
