FALL MUST HAVE BOOKS
We love to cuddle up with books and what's better than a fall book to get kids (and ourselves) excited for the change of season, weather and all the new things we will see? Cheers to all for a happy fall!
This book has beautiful illustrations and is a teacher favorite with the beautiful writing and feelings it brings. This book helps us see the beauty in autumn and the change of seasons.
This is such a cute book and a fun way to look at the rain coming!
We love this beautiful book with photos of the autumn foliage. Don't forget nonfiction!
This book has beautiful illustrations that captivate children. "In a series of conversations with every flower and creature and gust of wind, she says good-bye to summer and welcomes autumn."
More great nonfiction to explain the changes we will start to see.
Pete the Cat is a classic and this spin on fall does not disappoint.
This darling book shows the leaves falling and gets kids excited for the changing colors and jumping into leaf piles.
This adorable book is all about appreciating nature.
This is a favorite from the 90's. It follows a journey of making apple pie and all of the beautiful nature along the way.
This one was one of my favorites as a Kindergarten Teacher because it introduces the season in a basic yet thorough way. It's so simple and kids love it!
This is a great rhyming and a quick read that is fun and full of bright colors and fall traditions.
This classic is another of our favorites. It goes through each calendar month showing what we see each month as the weather and seasons change. The illustrations are hand-painted and particularly beautiful.
This cute story is also a classic about a bear getting prepared for the change of seasons. This one comes in a board book version, too for the littlest readers to enjoy.
I love this one because it incorporates a lot of scientific names and teaches more details about the specific kinds of trees and leaves we may see, changing colors during fall!
